As a Principal Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and enhancing container-based platforms and their core components. You will work in an agile, collaborative environment, implementing customer requirements while driving improvements across software architecture, performance, and scalability. This role involves close collaboration with engineering teams, product management, and stakeholders to prioritize features and maintain high-quality standards. You will actively engage with the open-source community, bringing innovations from upstream projects into production-ready solutions. The position offers the opportunity to work on challenging technical problems at the forefront of cloud-native technologies, Kubernetes, and enterprise-scale container platforms.
Accountabilities
- Develop and implement architectural and design principles to enhance system performance, scalability, and capacity.
- Define the high-level structure of software systems, including components, interfaces, and interactions with external systems.
- Provide architectural guidance on customer solutions and ensure alignment with product capabilities.
- Develop new features, fix bugs, and contribute to core components of Kubernetes and OpenShift within an agile team.
- Lead peer code reviews, continuous integration, and delivery processes, ensuring product quality and security.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, and Support teams to prioritize and deliver customer-facing features.
- Act as a technical escalation point for critical feature implementation and complex problem resolution.
Requirements
Engineering degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.8+ years of professional experience in software development with expertise in Golang.Strong architectural mindset with experience designing and implementing complex systems.Experience with containers, Kubernetes, and cloud-native technologies.Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, including root cause analysis.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying architectural decisions clearly.Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and agile environments.Benefits
