We are currently looking for a L2 Technical Support Engineer. In this position you would be responsible for providing high-quality technical customer support for the GoodData SaaS and cloud native software across the world.

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated team player with at least two years of work experience in Technical Customer Support, IT Support or DevOps.

Experience in following areas is a plus : Business Intelligence, SaaS, Software development, Server administration.

What will you do?

  • Deliver effective technical customer support and provide problem solutions for our customers while supporting a wide range of technologies :
  • Web based application - frontend / backend,
  • K8S and Docker deployments,
  • HTTP and REST API,
  • Vertica and other DBs,
  • Ruby, JavaScript, Java,
  • Single Sign-on,
  • DNS and networking,
  • etc.
  • Deeper follow-up investigation of technical tasks with engineering teams
  • Cooperation on incidents investigation and resolution
  • Develop a detailed understanding of GoodData platform and its components
  • Required to be on-call on a rotating basis throughout the year

About you

  • Analytical thinking and willingness to learn is a must
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Proactive and forward thinking character
  • Customer oriented with customer-facing experience
  • Up to date general knowledge of IT
  • Basic knowledge of :
  • HTTP and REST,
  • SQL,
  • Linux based OS and command line,
  • Computer security,
  • TCP / IP based computer networks and common internet protocols
  • Be able to read programming code and write simple scripts
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence area is a plus
  • Fluent written and verbal English, Czech language is a big plus
  • Required to participate in 24x7 on-call duty
