Description and Requirements

This role will lead Lenovo’s compliance and export controls program including local export regulatory requirements as well as compliance with EAR regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with Czech Republic, EU, US, and international export control regulations and sanctions laws
  • Review and approve export transactions, documentation, and shipping activities
  • Conduct restricted party screening and end-user/end-use checks
  • Review products, software, and technology classification under export control regulations
  • Support export license applications and maintain related documentation
  • Monitor changes in trade regulations and communicate impacts to business stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain export compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Conduct internal audits and risk assessments related to export compliance
  • Investigate potential compliance violations and support corrective actions
  • Deliver export control training to employees and business partners
  • Collaborate with logistics, legal, procurement, engineering, and sales teams
  • Maintain accurate compliance records according to regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, International Trade, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in export control, trade compliance, customs, or sanctions compliance
  • Knowledge of:EU Dual-Use RegulationCzech customs/export lawsUS export regulations (EAR) is an advantageSanctions programs (EU, OFAC, UN)
  • Experience with export documentation and customs procedures
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Fluent English required; Czech language strongly preferred

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working in multinational or manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with SAP GTS or other trade compliance systems
  • Experience in restricted party screening
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced international environment
