People in Need is calling for applications for the position of a Direct Aid and Mobility Administrator at the Centre for Human rights and Democracy (HRD). The primary goal of People in Need's Centre for Human Rights and Democracy is to support independent individuals and groups in countries with repressive regimes who are the target of persecution, harassment, or arrests because of their opinions or activities, and to strengthen civil society in countries that are going through democratic transformation. The main programmatic focus of the Centre includes :
- Capacity building for civil society organisations and support for their activities
- Emergency direct aid and psychosocial support to politically persecuted individuals and their families
- International advocacy in support of civil society and human rights topics
Main Duties & Responsibilities :
Mobility programme :
Collect, review and submit applications to relevant institutionsCommunicate with government institutions to follow up on applications and resolve issuesProvide guidance to beneficiaries on relevant procedures and requirementsDirect aid programme :
Reviewing Applications & Strategic Thinking (reading the application, discussing them with PMs, trying to deep in to the context…)Clarifying Needs & Estimating Costs with Beneficiaries (understanding details from the application, clarifying needs, costs etc.)Verification of Background (contacting partners, reference contacts, going through internet / social media etc.)Administration (preparing applications for signature, preparing contracts, discussion about payment method, being in touch with finance team, anonymizations, filling tracking tables etc.)Reaching out back to beneficiaries for confirmations, reporting, rejecting applicationsAnswering Beneficiary’s random questionsSelf-Organization & Workflow ManagementInternal Process Discussions (e.g., guidelines, improvements)Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and qualities :
Fluency in English and Russian; knowledge of Czech (native or advanced) is considered an advantage.Strong organizational skills and attention to details, with the ability to effectively manage multiple cases simultaneously.Emotional intelligence and resilience, maintaining clear professional boundaries while working sensitively with beneficiaries who may be experiencing stress or frustration.Comfort with routine and process-driven tasks, demonstrating consistency, reliability and accuracy in their work.Proven relevant experience in a similar role or field is considered a strong asset.Benefits
