What you will do
- Provide guidance and operational support to the Local Business Unit (LBU) regarding customs, origin determination, export controls and international sanction regulations (“Trade Compliance”)
- Challenge, develop and improve processes of LBU’s customs procedures, origin management, sanction lists screening, dual-use classification and export controls
- Supervise the implementation of Hitachi Energy's Compliance Program and its internal directives (PGR-LI-05 and CHR-LI-05) in the LBU
- Prepare, improve and communicate instructions, guidelines and training regarding Trade Compliance in the LBU in accordance with the guidelines provided by CTCO.
- Monitor trade master data (e.g. HS codes, Country of Origin, Export Control Numbers) and support trade compliance functions (e.g. product classification engineers, customs tariff coders)
- Maintain close relations with CTCO, CTCS and with PCE, Declarants and Logistics department within the LBU
- Develop and carry out internal checks (internal control system) on trade compliance aspects (incoterms, HS codes, export control, sanctions screening, critical assessments, preferential origin aspects, import and export efficiency)
- Contribute to and manage internal (local) and external audits (customs)
Your background
Compliance / SCM and / or Logistics background preferred
Experience in trade compliance matters and end-to-end supply chain processes
Team player with good communication skills
Helpful, not mandatory (willingness to learn should be there) : technical knowledge of products, software and applied technologies in the scope of the local Businesses
SAP and GTS experience.
