Our client, a multinational manufacturing organisation, is seeking an experienced Global Quality Director to lead worldwide quality strategy and execution for their OEM business division. This is a key leadership position that will drive compliance with automotive industry standards, enhance product and process quality, and ensure customer satisfaction across 11 global manufacturing sites spanning Europe, India, and the United States.
The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing comprehensive quality management systems, leading continuous improvement initiatives, and developing a high-performing global quality team. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Quality Management Systems Leadership
- Implement, maintain, and ensure certification of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and customer-specific requirements across all global sites
- Standardise quality processes and documentation across all manufacturing locations
- Manage internal and external audits, ensuring timely closure of non-conformities
Customer Quality Management
Serve as the global point of contact for major OEM customers on all quality mattersManage customer complaints, audits, and corrective actions with professionalism and responsivenessOversee Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) processes, including FMEA, Control Plans, and PPAP submissionsContinuous Improvement & Six Sigma Leadership
Lead and promote Lean, Kaizen, and Six Sigma methodologies to improve product quality and reduce wasteDrive a culture of operational excellence and zero-defect mindset across the organisationConduct comprehensive analysis of current quality across all sites, identifying areas for optimisationGlobal Team Leadership & Development
Lead and develop regional Quality Managers across 11 international sitesProvide mentoring and professional development opportunities for quality team membersAlign functional activities and ensure consistent quality standards globallyPerformance Monitoring & Reporting
Define and track key performance indicators including PPM, scrap rates, field claims, and customer satisfaction scoresAnalyse trends and lead improvement actions based on data insightsReport quality metrics and initiatives to senior managementStrategic Quality Planning
Define and justify investments in testing, metrology, and quality systemsDevelop long-term quality roadmap aligned with business objectivesEnsure regulatory and environmental compliance across all operationsQualifications :
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent technical qualificationMinimum 10 years of experience in quality leadership roles within the automotive industryProven track record of managing quality across multiple international sitesTechnical Expertise
Expert knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and automotive core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D)Strong background in Six Sigma methodologies and structured problem-solving techniquesExperience with quality management software and ERP systemsLanguage & Mobility
Native Czech speaker with fluent English (both written and spoken)Willingness and ability to travel internationally up to 30% of the timeValid passport and ability to obtain necessary work visas for international business travelPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
