Job descriptionSiC and GaN components, drivers of these switching elements Partial programming of control processors (mostly STM32G4) Applications for outputs up to 60 kW Schematic and PCB design in Altium Circuit simulation – Simetrix, Plecs, SPICE State-of-the-art measuring equipment (e.g. Tektronix 8-channel oscilloscopes with IsoVue probes, ElektroAutomatik 30kW 2000V sources and loads, power analyzers ZES Zimmer, Norma, Yokogawa) More than 10 engineers in Prague – split of senior, junior and trainees people daily contact with ST laboratories worldwide Catania, Milano, Toulouse, Tours, Taipei, Chicago, ... Use a large part of electrical engineering knowledge in one place - circuit design, circuit board design, prototyping, measurement on state-of-the-art equipment, processing results. Varied work content and a large opportunity to focus also according to your wishes. Communication with the world's top manufacturers in photovoltaics, power supplies and charging stations.Traveling throughout Europe and working in technical laboratories of our customers and divisional laboratories General knowledge of electronics (understanding of electrical diagrams, behavior of basic components capacitance, inductance, resistance, diode, transistor, etc.) An open mind – the ability to invent and implement unique solutions to non-standard technical problems (internal and customer) Flexibility, responsibility and feeling for priority setting

APPLICATION ENGINEER
Silicon Carbide Switches in renewable sources, photovoltaics, fast chargers for electric vehicles, industrial and similar high power applications
A technical person interested in working in a power electronics laboratory.
What will you be responsible for with us?
- Design of test applications
- Testing and optimization of components (switching elements, controllers, driving networks)
- Preparation of technical materials – from detailed reports to general presentations
- Communication with customersTechnical requirements, collecting requirements from the entire marketTechnical support – design of solutions and suitable components, application debuggingConducting technical seminars
- Communication with ST internal development teamsDefinitions of new productsFinding limitations and minimizing them in new and old products
