Lead Platform Engineer

This person will be the technical lead for the Platform team, who are responsible for ourorganisation’s internally and externally facing platforms. The Platform team enables capabilities that help our organisation’s teams rapidly meet the needs of our customers.

• Designing, building and maintaining internal and externally facing systems, making sure

that they are performant, reliable, secure, and scalable

Solving difficult technical challenges, and acting as a point of technical escalation for

other Platform Team members

Making architectural decisions regarding the BISim platform

Acting as a force multiplier for your engineering colleagues

Maintaining a set of common tools and standards to be shared across the company

Being accountable for the quality of the platform

Objectives :

Ensuring that the platform team are able to deliver their work, by proactively unblocking

team members and assisting on difficult problems

Ensure that the development platform supports our developers in their day to day roles

Continually iterate on our platform, add new capabilities as required by the development

organisation

Act as a champion for DevOps culture and mentality

Education & Experience :

Previous experience as a Technical Lead or Senior Engineer with escalation

Able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues,

including senior management
