Overview

A leading food and beverages company is seeking an experienced SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) and Master Data Management (MDM) Architect to play a pivotal role in its global S / 4HANA transformation programme. This individual will be responsible for shaping the organisation's data governance strategy, ensuring the integrity and quality of master data across multiple domains, and supporting business-critical migration and integration projects.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the architecture, design, and delivery of SAP MDG and MDM solutions within large-scale S / 4HANA programmes.

Define and enforce data governance strategies that underpin enterprise transformation and regulatory compliance.

Oversee data migration activities, including cleansing, mapping, iterative test cycles, and phased deployment across global regions.

Act as Data Architect and Subject Matter Expert for Material, Business Partner (Vendor & Customer), and Finance domains.

Drive collaboration with stakeholders to align business objectives with governance frameworks.

Deliver end-to-end implementations, covering configuration, testing, risk management, documentation, and post-go-live support.

Coordinate onshore and offshore teams, ensuring project timelines, quality standards, and data integrity are met.

Contribute to business process automation and innovation, including integration of non-SAP systems and chatbot-enabled MDG enhancements.

Maintain compliance with industry best practices, supporting operations across FMCG, retail, manufacturing, and logistics sectors.

Skills & Experience

Over 10 years of proven expertise in SAP MDG / MDM with substantial leadership experience in design and architecture.

Demonstrated success in S / 4HANA MDG implementations across multiple domains (Material, Vendor, Customer, Finance).

Strong grounding in data governance, quality management, and migration strategy.

Hands-on configuration experience, including workflow (BRF+), validations, derivations, and bespoke enhancements.

Background in FMCG, food & beverages, retail, manufacturing, or pharmaceuticals advantageous.

Track record of delivering complex, multinational data migrations with high data volumes.

Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of engaging both technical and business leadership teams.

Degree in Engineering, IT, or a related field; SAP MDG training and certifications preferred.
